Thousands of Saskatchewan Roughrider fans lined up to see the Grey Cup and meet some of the players in Saskatoon Saturday.

The trophy was on display at the Credit Union Centre, the first stop in the Grey Cup tour.

Seeing the Cup and meeting players, such as Kory Sheets, made Kathy Evans' day.

"It was awesome," said Evans, one of the first people in line. "They are the most awesome ambassadors that Saskatchewan could have. Every time you see them, and not just here, but anywhere, they're always willing to chat, to say hi. They love their fans and that's why we love them."

The Grey Cup makes a stop in Lloydminster on Sunday. It will be at the Service Sports Centre at 1 p.m. CST.

Next on the tour is North Battleford on Monday, and Prince Albert on Tuesday.
