RCMP in Loon Lake, Sask., have released composite sketches of a man believed to be responsible for an assault on an elderly woman in her own bedroom.

Police allege the man broke into the Loon Lake Villa apartment complex in the early morning hours of Oct. 24 and entered an apartment.

He left that apartment when he woke a woman sleeping on the couch, and entered a second suite down the hall.

Police said it was occupied by an elderly, physically disabled woman, who the suspect physically assaulted while she slept.

The man then fled the scene.

The victim was taken to hospital in Meadow Lake for treatment of her injuries, which were not disclosed.

Police said the woman and another witness provided descriptions of the suspect for the composite drawings.

Loon Lake is approximately 300 kilometres northwest of Saskatoon.
