Elderly man struck by Regina transit bus dies

An elderly man has died after he was struck by a bus in Regina Monday morning.

The man was taken to hospital and later died

An elderly man has died after he was struck by a bus in Regina Monday morning. 

It happened just before 11 a.m. CT at the intersection of Parliament Avenue and Rae Street. 

Police said the bus was turning on to Rae Street when it struck the man. 

The man, who police said was 80 years old, was taken to hospital with serious injuries and later died

Police were diverting traffic in the area while investigating what happened. They're asking anyone with more information about the crash to contact police.
