Elderly man hurt in Regina crash
An elderly man was taken to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries following a collision between two vehicles at a major Regina intersection.
The crash happened around 11:15 a.m. CT Saturday on Albert Street, one of the city's major thoroughfares.
According to police, the vehicle on Albert Street did not stop at a red light and crashed into a car that was in the intersection at 23rd Avenue.
An elderly man in the car had to be extricated by a fire department rescue crew.
Traffic in the area was disrupted for several hours while police investigated.
