​Brendan Flaherty is a poet, a community organizer, a political satirist and a prolific event host.

As a crucial contributor to our vibrant and nationally renowned spoken word scene, Brendan has represented Saskatoon at the Canadian Individual Poetry Slam, and has been a member of the Victoria Spoken Word Festival Ensemble.

He's read poetry everywhere from music festivals, house parties and street fairs across Canada. In 2013 he was named Saskatoon's best poet by readers of Planet S Magazine.

Brendan has spent countless hours organizing poetry events, including the Canadian Festival of Spoken Word. He also works as a workshop facilitator with Write Out Loud, a youth-oriented spoken word organization.

He acts as volunteer co-ordinator for MoSo, Saskatoon's music and tech/media festival.

He hosts This Night Will Change Your Life, a podcast and karaoke night at Amigos Cantina, and regularly hosts community events as varied as burlesque shows to The Roxy Theatre's Oscars telecast.
