The death of a woman whose body was discovered in water in a storm channel Wednesday was not the result of foul play, police in Regina say.
Police noted that an autopsy had been performed and there were no signs of injury or foul play. Police added that the coroner was conducting some further tests before releasing a cause of death.
The woman, whose identity has not been released, was found around noon near the intersection of 1st Avenue and Albert Street. A storm channel runs through the area, west of Albert Street.
Police said there was no evidence of a criminal aspect in this case, but they would continue to provide assistance the the coroner, as needed.
