A fire investigator is going to be looking into a blaze that damaged a two-storey house in the 1700-block of Toronto Street in Regina.

The fire broke out just after 7 p.m. CST Monday evening.

Smoke and flames were coming from a small front porch as firefighters arrived, said Regina deputy fire Chief Layne Jackson.

Jackson said crews put the fire out before it could spread to the main house.

No one was inside the home at the time.

The cause of the fire is being investigated.
