Country music fans are streaming onto the camping site for the Craven jamboree, west of Regina.
With an estimated crowd of 23,500 taking in the show, the Craven site — for the duration of the festival — becomes Saskatchewan's fifth largest city.
It is also becoming known for its party atmosphere.
"It's basically just another reason to drink," Dylan Hengen said Wednesday. Hengen had camped out at a Regina Walmart before making his way to the Craven site.
"I don't know if you can sum up Craven," Preston Erickson said. "It's a whirlwind of a party I guess."
RCMP have set up a mini-detachment on the grounds.
They are reminding people to drink responsibly.
The music shows begin Thursday.
