Saskatoon police have seized cocaine, heroin and other drugs and arrested seven people.

About 1.5 kilograms of cocaine, 29 grams of heroin, 21 grams of marijuana and more than 1,650 ecstasy pills were seized Mar. 17 following raids on eight properties and a search of one vehicle, police said.

All of the drugs were packaged to be sold in what police are calling a "dial-a-dope" operation.

Also seized were two prohibited semi-automatic pistols, a sawed-off shotgun, ammunition and other weapons, including bear spray and brass knuckles.

There was also a large amount of cash.

Thirty charges have been laid, including trafficking drugs, illegal firearms possession and possession of stolen property.

The seven accused were scheduled to appear in court on Friday.
