A 64-year-old church volunteer in Gravelbourg, Sask., is accused of fraud and theft in a scheme that netted her $91,000 in a little over two years, RCMP say.
Paulette Dumont was charged by the local detachment of the RCMP and is scheduled to make her first court appearance in Gravelbourg on Feb. 19.
The accusations relate to a time from January 2002 to May 2004 involving financial and administrative work at Our Lady of the Assumption church in Gravelbourg.
Gravelbourg is one of the province's key francophone communities. The southwestern Saskatchewan town of about 1,100 is located about 150 kilometres from Regina.
