Couples at U of R get married for the day by former Roughrider Chunky Adams. (CBC)

Former Roughrider Chunky Adams is playing pastor at the University of Regina this Valentine's Day.

He's selling one day only marriage licenses and marrying couples on the spot for an event called Hitch and Ditch.

Adams said it's not the "hitch" part he's most interested in.

"I wanna start charging $20 for divorces," he said. "So if you want to get married, make sure you don't get divorced. If so, I need 20 bucks."

His advice for those trying to say together — communication.

Other events at the university Friday include candy grams and palm readings.
