Police in Regina say two youngsters, aged two and six, are OK after spending about 10 minutes inside a hot car in a shopping centre parking lot.

Officers were sent to the Golden Mile shopping centre around 1:20 p.m. CST Tuesday. Temperatures in Regina reached a high of 32 C around that time of day.

Police said they were able to get the children out of the vehicle right away.

They said the two were feeling hot and uncomfortable, but did not need any medical attention.

They said they gave the parents a warning about the dangers posed in leaving youngsters unattended in a car.
