CBC Saskatchewan wins RTDNA diversity award

CBC Saskatchewan was among the winners at the Radio and Television Digital News Associations' awards on Saturday night.

Students at Regina Huda School are taught the Saskatchewan curriculum including math, science, language arts. They also learn about Arabic and Islam. (CBC )

CBC Saskatchewan was among the winners at the Radio and Television Digital News Associations' (RTDNA) awards on Saturday night.

CBC's Merelda Fiddler was awarded the Adrienne Clarkson Diversity award for her story on Regina's growing Muslim community and the rapidly expanding Regina Huda School.

The piece will now move on and compete for the National RTDNA diversity award.

The awards are given out by the Radio and Television News Directors.
