The CBC Saskatchewan's Merelda Fiddler has been honoured with a Métis Award for Journalism.

The Wiichihiwayshinawn Foundation recognized Fiddler on Saturday night in Regina for her contribution over the past year.
Most recently Fiddler produced the Boombox competition, which focused on Aboriginal entrepreneurship.
The Métis Awards are given out to dedicated individuals in the Métis community who through their hard work are role models to younger generations.

- Joanna Potyondi - Most Honourable Métis Woman Award
- Rock Charette - social justice
- Calvin Racette - education
- Karen Laroque - health and wellness
