A high school business club in Regina is hoping to retain its standing as the best business club in Saskatchewan.

Campbell Business, which was formed three years ago, has won the provincial title for the last two years.

The club, with about 35 students, was formed when two new teachers with business background joined the staff.

Since then, the number of students who are taking business classes has gone from 150 to 500.

Teacher Jordan McFarlen credits the club with fostering interest in business classes.

"We felt like maybe in high school here we could do a better job of connecting students with potential careers with the real world so we thought Business Ed. was a perfect opportunity for that," he told CBC News reporter Tory Gillis Monday.
