A 14-year-old boy in North Battleford, Sask., is facing a litany of charges after allegedly stealing a vehicle, fleeing from the police and being in possession of stolen goods.

It happened around 10 p.m. CST Monday night.

RCMP said the car had been left running in front of a home when it was stolen.

The driver wouldn't stop for police, then ran a red light and a stop sign.

Police said they backed off from the chase and shortly after that the suspect lost control and hit the ditch.

Police caught up with him and made the arrest. During a search, police found property believed to be linked to other thefts.

The boy was scheduled to make his first appearance in Youth Court on Tuesday morning.
