A British farm group says a bacon shortage is likely in 2013 — and that's got people in Saskatchewan talking.

The CBC's Madeline Kotzer was asking bacon lovers and restaurateurs — including Mr. Breakfast's Harry Perentes — if they're worried.

Perentes says at least 70 per cent of his customers order bacon, but he's not panicking in the face of Ham-ageddon.

"I will pay any price. I will have bacon for my customers," Perentes said. "Wherever I can get it, I will pay the top price."

Others Kotzer interviewed in Regina on Wednesday expressed alarm that their bacon supply could be cut off, with one man saying he would "die" without the crispy breakfast mainstay.
