A woman accused of escaping from jail by going over a fence is back in custody.

Police allege Doris Roberts, 27, used clothing to protect her hands and climb over the barbed-wire fence at Pine Grove Correctional Centre in Prince Albert last Friday night.

The provincial government said today that Roberts was taken into custody in La Ronge.

Roberts is being returned to the woman's jail.

The government said she had previously been remanded on "two counts of failing to comply and two counts of breach."

There was no word Friday on additional charges.
