Regina police have arrested a man facing sexual assault charges in British Columbia.

Shaun Richard Funk, 35, who is originally from Manitoba, was wanted on two Canada-wide warrants issued in B.C.

He is accused of attacking a 39-year-old woman in Squamish, B.C., on Aug. 28. He is also accused of breaking into a home on Sept. 26 in Ladysmith on Vancouver Island and attacking a 50-year-old woman.

Police in Regina had issued a warning on Tuesday saying Funk might be in the city and was believed to be a risk to the public.

Funk was arrested Wednesday in Regina. He's not facing any new charges in Saskatchewan, but he does have an outstanding warrant in Manitoba.
