Two people are dead following a three-vehicle collision east of Pangman, Sask.

Three other people were injured in the crash.

Weyburn RCMP said the fatal collision happened at about 5 p.m. CST Tuesday at the intersection of Highway 6 and Highway 13.

The collision involved a Nissan SUV, a Dodge Journey, and a semi-tractor trailer unit. 

The driver of the Nissan SUV, a 44-year-old man from Austria, and the driver of the semi-tractor, a 59-year-old man from the Radville area, were both killed.

A female passenger in the Nissan was taken to a Regina hospital. Both people in the Dodge Journey were transported to Regina by STARS with undetermined injuries.

RCMP said there were not independent witnesses and they continue to investigate the collision. 

Highway 6 southbound was closed for three to four hours. 

The village of Pangman is about 100 kilometres south of Regina.
