A man was taken to hospital in Regina Saturday morning with severe head injuries after what police are calling an aggravated assault.
Officers were called to a house on the 600 block of Garnet Street at 5:30 a.m. CST.
When emergency crews arrived, they saw a man lying on the floor with injuries to his head.
Paramedics opened the unlocked door and immediately began treating the 42-year-old man.
The man was placed in an induced coma by Sunday morning. He is described as being in stable but critical condition.
The police major crimes and forensic identification units are working on an investigation into the aggravated assault.
Police said Monday morning that a 39-year-old woman has been charged with aggravated assault. The man and the woman know each other, police said.
