Saskatoon fire officials say arson is suspected in an early morning fire at a medical centre in the city.

When emergency crews arrived at 1801 Broadway Ave. at about 3:20 a.m. CST part of the building was on fire.

Firefighters doused the flames and ventilated the building to reduce the damage.

After an investigation, officials discovered something had been thrown through the window of the business. Investigators believe that may have started the flames, though the exact cause had not yet been reported.

The incident is now being investigated by the Saskatoon police.

The fire was contained to the single business. No one was injured.

Damage is estimated at about $15,000.
