The deadly intersection of Highway 11 and Wanuskewin Road, just north of Saskatoon, saw another collision Wednesday morning.

Police say a Honda Civic travelling southbound was struck by westbound Saturn trying to cross Highway 11.

The only people in both cars were the drivers. Both men have been taken to the hospital.

There is no detail yet on how serious the injuries are to either driver, or a specific cause of the collision.

Both cars were severely damaged, with one ending up flipped over on the side of the highway with half of the vehicle detached.

Deadly history

The intersection is the same one at which a 34-year-old woman was killed in a crash between a minivan and a pickup truck on Sunday morning.

According to police the minivan was traveling westbound from Wanuskewin Road across the intersection of Highway 11 when it was struck by the truck.

We will have more details on the latest collision as the story develops.
