Man, 31, accused of fleeing scene of accident
Yorkton RCMP have a man in custody after an alleged drunk driver hit a woman and a toddler and fled the scene.
It happened Thursday at Bradbrooke Drive and Allanbrooke Drive, close to the hospital.
Police said a grey sport utility vehicle came out of a back alley, hit a light standard and then ran into a minivan, injuring a woman, 44, and a toddler.
They received non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to hospital.
The driver of the SUV fled the scene, but a suspect was arrested shortly after.
A man, 31, is facing a series of charges, including impaired driving causing bodily harm, impaired driving, fleeing from police and failing to remain at the scene of an accident.
He's scheduled to appear in provincial court on Monday.
