Advance polls open in Regina's sewage plant referendum
Advance polls open Saturday morning for people who want to vote early in Regina's referendum on the wastewater treatment plant.
Voters will decide whether the city will use a public-private partnership (P3) approach to build and operate the plant, or a more traditional model where the city hires someone else to build it, but remains responsible for operations.
The yes-or-no question on the ballot will read:
Vote for or against the following resolution:
THAT the Council of the City of Regina publicly finance, operate and maintain the new wastewater treatment plant for Regina through a traditional Design, Bid, Build (DBB) approach.
People can cast their votes until 5 p.m. CST Saturday at these locations:
