A community of writers and artists gather in Saskatoon to celebrate Aboriginal literature.

The Ânskohk Festival is a launch event for the Saskatchewan Writers' Guild Conference, which begins Friday.

One of the Ânskohk Festival organizers says aboriginal literature has rich and diverse content.

"I hope people take away the idea of the Aboriginal writing world being very vibrant, very alive, evolving, lots of possibilities," Lisa Wilson told CBC News Thursday. "It's not something that's sort of in the past. It's not something that's stagnant."
