4 people charged after police find machetes, pellet gun, drugs
A woman and three men are facing weapon and drug charges after officers found a pellet gun and two machetes in their car.
Saskatoon police received reports of a group of people fighting in an alley in the 200 block of Montreal Avenue North at about 5:35 a.m. CST.
The suspects left the area, but policed tracked them down and stopped the vehicle at Avenue J North and 23rd Street.
All four people were arrested — one man in the car was treated by paramedics for cuts on his face.
Officers searched the vehicle and found the two machetes, a pellet gun, cocaine, marijuana and a large amount of cash.
A 25-year-old woman, a 26-year-old man and two other men in their 30s are facing several charges including possession of cocaine not exceeding three kilograms, possession of marijuana not exceeding 30 grams and possession of a weapon dangerous to the public.
