Saskatchewan RCMP are looking for three suspects who broke into a 71-year-old woman's house and then beat and robbed her.

It happened at about 3 a.m. CST Wednesday at a rural home near the village of St. Louis, which is 34 kilometres south of Prince Albert.

The woman told police she was sleeping when three people, believed to be two males and a female, broke into her house.

She said she was struck several times and left on her bed.

Her house was vandalized resulting in "considerable damage" and several items were taken, the RCMP said.

After the three suspects left the home, she called the police.

Police said the three may be using a white 2001 GMC extended cab pickup truck that had been stolen earlier from a home in nearby Saint-Isidore-de-Bellevue.

Police are asking people with information to call the Wakaw RCMP at 306-233-5810 or Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
