Three semi-trailers were involved in a crash on Highway 1, about 170 kilometres east of Regina, Wednesday night.
Officers from the Broadview detachment of the RCMP were dealing with the crash, which was reported shortly after 8:30 p.m. CST.
RCMP said the location was about 3.5 kilometres east of Percival, Sask., and the crash was affecting eastbound lanes of the highway.
There was no word on injuries.
Police said one of the semis had jack-knifed and ended up in the ditch. The other two were still on the highway, but were blocking a lane.
Around 10:30 p.m. RCMP said work had progressed on clearing the trucks from the scene and would continue so that both eastbound lanes of the highway could be reopened.
Police said it was slow going through the crash site.
"It is snowing at the scene," they added, "and highways in the area are very slippery."
