3 men die in crash southeast of Regina
2 others remain in hospital after head-on collision
Three people are dead and two are in hospital after a highway crash southeast of Regina.
Two pickup trucks crashed head-on on Highway 33 just north of Sedley.
It happened Monday just after 4 p.m. CST.
Police said there were four people in one of the trucks.
Two men who were passengers were declared dead at the scene.
The driver of that truck, a white Nissan, was taken to hospital, but later died from his injuries
Another woman who was also a passenger survived the crash and she currently is in hospital in serious condition
The driver of the second truck, a red Dodge, was airlifted to hospital in Regina where he remains. His condition hasn't been disclosed.
On Tuesday, police released the following information about the ages of the people involved in the crash.
The people who died in the Nissan are:
- A 24-year-old man from Richardson.
- A 29-year-old man from White City.
- A 34-year-old man, also from White City.
The people taken to hospital are:
A 50-year-old man from Weyburn.
An 18-year-old woman from Aberdeen.
Police said there was blowing snow on the highway at the time of the collision.
They are still investigating the cause.
