Three men are facing charges after a 17-year-old teen was taken against his will, assaulted and robbed on Friday night.
Police were called to the 200 block of Sumner Crescent at about 11:20 p.m. CT after learning that a teen boy had been forced from one vehicle into another.
Reports said they then fled the area in the other vehicle.
Several patrol units and the street gang unit later located the victim.
Police said the teen had been robbed and beaten by the people who allegedly abducted him.
The teen had obvious signs of assault, but none of his injuries were life threatening.
The three suspects were known to the victim and police said that he was not randomly targeted.
Soon after the victim was found police tracked down and arrested three suspects. Officers also seized their vehicle, which has been examined by the forensic unit.
The three men range in age from late teens to early 20s. They face charges including unlawful confinement and robbery with violence.
