3 men charged with human trafficking, sexual assault in Regina

Police made contact with a 24-year-old victim and charged three men from Regina, Edmonton and Ottawa.

Three men in their 20s are facing numerous charges including sexual assault and human trafficking after allegedly holding a 24-year-old woman against her will in Regina.

According to Regina police their investigation began on Saturday when they received information about the victim. Officers were able to get in contact with her and learned more about the nature of what happened. 

The men were arrested in a downtown Regina hotel and are each facing between seven to nine charges including sexual assault with a weapon, forcible confinement, human trafficking, and receiving financial benefits from a crime. Two of the men also breached their probation, one breached his recognizance. 

The men aged 22 from Regina, 24 from Ottawa and 25 from Edmonton all made their first court appearances Monday morning.
