An early morning rollover near Rosetown, Sask., on the west side of the province has killed two women and sent three more people to hospital.

It happened on a rural road 44 kilometres northwest of the town some time after 3 a.m. CST on Wednesday, the RCMP said.

There were five people in the vehicle when the driver lost control and the vehicle rolled, the RCMP said.

Two women from Biggar, both 21, died at the scene.

Two males and a female were taken to hospital with undisclosed injuries.

The incident is under investigation, but alcohol may have been a factor, the RCMP said.

The names of the victims haven't been released pending notification of family members, the police said.
