Saskatchewan's College of Physicians and Surgeons has disciplined two doctors in separate incidents for inappropriate behaviour on the job.
In North Battleford, Sask. Dr. Charl Moolman admitted to telling a patient he had a soft spot for her and kissing her while performing a medical procedure.
The College of Physicians and Surgeons has given him a one week suspension — in addition to his five-week suspension from the health region.
Moolman was also ordered to take a course on doctor-patient boundaries, and from now on he has to have a chaperone while examining female patients.
The second doctor disciplined has admitted to repeating a rumour to a patient's co-worker that the patient had Hepatitis C.
Dr. Alfred Ernst, from Rosetown, Sask., received a reprimand and an has been ordered to take an ethics course.
