Two people were injured after a school bus with students and adults aboard went into a snow-filled ditch south of the Battlefords Wednesday morning.

Shortly after 8 a.m. CST, the bus was heading south on a road but failed to negotiate a turn. It struck a snowbank before going off the road and entering the ditch, remaining upright as it came to rest.

There were 12 students and two adults aboard. One adult and one student received minor injuries, the RCMP said.

It happened about 12 kilometres south of the town of Battleford.

Police are investigating the incident.
