2 dead after crash with moose near Buchanan, Sask.

RCMP say two men are dead after their vehicle crashed into a moose on Highway 5 near Buchanan, Sask. early Saturday morning.

RCMP say two men are dead after their vehicle crashed into a moose on Highway 5 near Buchanan, Sask. early Saturday morning. 

There are few details at this point, but police say the two were travelling westbound on the highway at around 4 a.m. CST when they hit the moose. There were no other people inside. 

There's no word on how old the two men were or where they are from. 

RCMP are still investigating at the scene. Officers diverted traffic in the area all morning, though they expected travel to be back to normal around noon. 

Buchanan is about 75 kilometres northwest of Yorkton.
