2-car crash near Emerald Park sends 2 to hospital

Two people were taken to hospital Tuesday after one car broadsided another on the Trans-Canada Highway near Emerald Park, Sask.

Two people were taken to hospital Tuesday morning after their cars crashed on the Trans-Canada Highway near Emerald Park, Sask.

A woman driving a white Ford Taurus and a man driving a grey BMW were both transported to hospital with undetermined injuries.

The driver of the Taurus was transported by STARS helicopter.

Based on the damage to the vehicles, it appeared the BMW broadsided the Taurus.

Police said traffic would be diverted for a couple of hours while the crash is investigated.
