It was a record hot day Friday in 18 Saskatchewan communities.

Rosetown led the province with a new high of 31.7 C. Elbow, Last Mountain, Leader, Lucky Lake, Scott and Watrous also broke records with temperatures of more than 30 C.

Saskatoon, Regina and North Battleford all saw high temperatures of 31.4 C, but did not set record highs.

Environment Canada says the following Sask. communities experienced the highest temperatures on record for Sept. 13:

  • Meadow Lake
