16 long-term missing persons cases in Regina
2 families hope to have answers soon, but others are still waiting for any updates
While two Regina families are hoping to soon have answers regarding their missing relatives, a number of others are still waiting for any answers.
Regina Police Service lists 16 long-term missing persons cases on their website.
Kim Cruickshank is one them. The 27-year-old was last seen in March 2013 at her apartment.
Brandy Wesaquate was last seen leaving a party on New Year's morning 2012.
There are also two women initially listed as missing who were found dead. In the case of Melanie Geddes, who disappeared in 2005, her death is still considered a homicide.
Clayton Eichler charged in two cases
On Friday, Regina Police chief Troy Hagan announced Clayton Bo Eichler has been charged with the first degree murder of Richele Bear.
Eichler was previously charged with second degree murder in the death of Kelly Nicole Goforth.
Hagan said there is nothing connecting Eichler to any other missing persons cases right now.
"We're working very diligently with respect to all missing persons within the city here and it will depend on where those investigations will go," Hagan said. "We obviously don't have any evidence to suggest at this time that this individual is responsible for any more crimes. However, time will tell."
