Police have charged a Yorkton man after finding just under 10 kilograms of marijuana in his car.

The arrest came following a joint investigation involving police from Saskatoon and Yorkton.

Police stopped the vehicle in Theodore, Sask. and searched it. They found the marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

The driver was charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking.

He's been released under conditions, with a promise to appear in Yorkton provincial court on June 23.
