One man is dead and another person is injured following a two-vehicle collision north of Martensville, Sask.

It happened around 6:30 a.m. CT Tuesday about 4 kilometres north of the city, at the intersection of Highway 12 and Highway 305,  the RCMP said.

The drivers were the sole occupants of their vehicles. 

One man was pronounced dead at the scene, the other person was transported to hospital by MD Ambulance with unspecified injuries.

Police haven't released any names, ages or home communities pending notification of family members.

The cause of the crash hasn't been determined, the RCMP said. A collision analyst is on the scene assisting with the investigation.
