Riding profile
Saint-François is in the Eastern Townships east of Montreal, and abuts the U.S. border. It contains part of the city of Sherbrooke. The riding grew noticeably in the 2011 redistribution, gaining land from the electoral districts of Johnson, Mégantic–Compton and Orford
Political history
Monique Gagnon-Tremblay has been the MNA here since 1985, winning by modest margins of victory. She has been deputy premier, finance minister and, most recently, minister for international relations. She announced in mid-July 2012 that she won't run again.
