Intrepid CBC reporter Brian Higgins wasn't winging it when he set out on an assignment to track down an injured goose in Wellington, P.E.I.

As it turns out, the bird and her mate weren't interested in being featured, and flew off only a couple of minutes after Brian set up his camera. He waited … and waited. But they didn't return.

That didn't get Brian's goose. He persevered to bring back a story, although maybe not the one he expected.
