Two people police believe to be responsible for a string of thefts from motor vehicles in P.E.I. have been arrested by RCMP.
The two were found Wednesday in the Kinlock Road area of Stratford, said members of the Stratford detachment and the Queens and Kings street crime enforcement units.
The duo is also wanted in Nova Scotia, said police.
RCMP made the arrests after more than 200 complaints in the summer months of valuables, electronics, cash and other personal items taken from vehicles parked in residential areas in Stratford, Cornwall, Montague and Morell.
Thieves targeted unlocked cars overnight or during bad weather, said police.
According to the RCMP a search warrant was used to enter a home in Montague where a significant quantity of property was recovered.
Firearms were also seized, one of which was loaded.
Bradley Orville Perry, 27, of Montague, has been remanded into custody, and a female, also from Montague, was arrested.
