Sturgeon man charged with child pornography
Internet tip received by National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, say RCMP
A 25-year-old Sturgeon, P.E.I., man has been charged with possession and distribution of child pornography, say RCMP.
Daniel Lannigan was arrested and charged Thursday after members of the RCMP major crime child exploitation unit conducted an investigation based an internet tip.
The tip to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children was a report of illegal uploading of child pornography images.
RCMP executed a warrant on Oct. 31, in Sturgeon.
Lannigan will appear in Georgetown Provincial Court on Dec. 5, to enter a plea.
