Montague children paint pictures for kids with cancer

Children from Montague, P.E.I. put paintbrushes to paper on Saturday to raise money for four-year-old Autumn Newell, and children like her, who have cancer.
Natasha McCarthy said she organised the event when she learned about Autumn's leukemia diagnosis.
"I thought, if a four-year-old can be that brave she's going to inspire other kids. So she inspired me to want to make it bigger and not just help her, but help other kids in her name,” she said.
The money raised will also go to Charlottetown's Queen Elizabeth Hospital Foundation and the IWK Health Centre in Halifax to help children battling cancer there.
McCarthy said she hopes to raise $6,000 with help from fellow organiser Ambyr Cooper.
Both women said they will shave their heads, when they hit their goal.
The pictures will be auctioned off online all this week.
