Thousands of people are expected at a pilates event in Summerside Monday where they hope to set a new world record.
Summerside is trying to break the record for the most people doing standing pilates blend at once.
The event takes place at Credit Union Place and is a part of Islander Day celebrations.
The city is expecting close to 2,000 people for the event, said Stephanie Knickle-Currie from iMotion Pilates Fitness, who is leading the class.
"It's a very exciting day if you're going to be looking at breaking a world record. I'm really pleased to be leading it and just another way to get people interested in movement, maybe interested in pilates because they didn't know what pilates was," said Knickle-Currie.
"Pilates seems to be gentle enough where it can be a little bit more global."
There has to be at least 900 people to beat the record, Knickle-Currie said.
Participants are asked to arrive at Credit Union Place by noon. Organizers will then count participants as they arrive.
