P.E.I. Paralympian Mark Arendz won four silver silver medals and a gold in cross-country races at the paralympic Nordic Skiing World Cup in Cable, Wisconsin last week.

The 22-year-old said he was just centimetres away from bringing home a second gold.

"It was a week of close racing, that's for sure," said Arendz.

"The cross-country sprint, it came down to a photo finish and I was, if I dare say, the loser of the photo finish by, you know, mere centimeters. So a really good World Cup week there."

Arendz will be heading to the World Championships in Sweden at the end of February, then to the Winter Olympic venue in Russia for a test event.
