Island drivers see jump at the pump New Year's Day

People on P.E.I. can expect to pay more to fill up their vehicles after regulators bumped up the price of gas by five cents overnight.
The price for both diesel and furnace oil is up by three cents.
The Island Regulatory and Appeals Commission sets petroleum prices in the province.
With the latest adjustment the price for gasoline stands at a maximum of 121.0 cents per litre.
Furnace oil in PEI is capped at 106.3 cents per litre, plus tax.
