The remains of Hurricane Sandy covered a large area of the eastern United States at midday Wednesday. (CBC)Outside of some windy days and above average temperatures Hurricane Sandy, which devastated the eastern seaboard of the U.S., will not have much effect on P.E.I.
Average high temperatures for P.E.I. for this time of year are 9 C, but are expected to run into the teens over the next few days. Winds will gust up to 60 km/h.
There is some rain in the forecast, but it is from a separate system developing in the Gulf of Maine. Between 20 and 40 mm of rain is expected from Tuesday to Friday, with periods of rain developing Wednesday night.
